WANA (Nov 26) – Iran’s Foreign Minister attended the United Nations Alliance of Civilizations (UNAOC) Global Forum in Lisbon.

 

On Tuesday, Seyed Abbas Araghchi, the Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Islamic Republic of Iran, participated in the 10th Global Forum of the UNAOC in Lisbon, Portugal.

 

The forum coincides with the 20th anniversary of the “Alliance of Civilizations” and is held under the theme “Unity for Peace: Restoring Trust, Rebuilding the Future, Reflecting on Two Decades of Dialogue for Humanity.”

 

During the high-level segment of the forum, Iran’s Foreign Minister will outline the Islamic Republic’s perspectives on international peace and security, as well as current issues, including regional developments. He is also scheduled to hold discussions with the UN Secretary-General and counterparts from several participating countries.

 

The forum, which continues until Wednesday, is set to conclude with a final declaration. This declaration will emphasize key concerns of the international community, including the promotion of engagement and understanding among nations, cultures, and religions, as well as combating hate speech, racial supremacy, and Islamophobia.
